My Mission & Goals
I built Lift With Mags with the mission to empower every individual to live their goals every day through holistic nutrition practices, sustainable strength training and lifestyle habits. Especially those looking to lose body fat, build muscle, and for women with PCOS. The body and lifestyle you want is 100% achievable for you. And I want to help you realize that. ​
As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach that specializes in Body Recomposition, my goal with building this business is to help you become your strongest, healthiest, most fit self you can be. To learn to navigate the grey areas of nutrition and fitness to live a lifestyle that elevates your life. I want to share the empowerment and confidence that fitness and nutrition has given me. Because it has changed my life, and it can change yours, too.

Body Recomposition Journey
My name is Maggie Geil! But you can call me Mags!
In 2020 I was diagnosed with PCOS. Ever since I can remember, I have had excruciating menstrual cycles, difficultly losing weight, I experienced extreme fatigue, horrible cystic acne, ingrown hairs, and an awful combination of anxiety, depression, and binge eating. I had seen doctors, but growing up in Wyoming, it wasn't easy getting answers. So, I moved down to Arizona in 2018, still found myself struggling to lose weight even though I was eating healthy and working out 6 days a week. Eventually, it got so bad where I couldn't ignore it any longer, so in 2020 I booked an appointment. I had PCOS.

They put me on birth control, along with a Vitamin D supplement and an additional supplement (it was supposed to help with energy levels), but the birth control made everything worse. So, after several months of struggling, I decided to stop taking the birth control and the other supplement for my energy levels. I continued taking the Vitamin D and suddenly started to feel a bit better. I decided to change up my workouts and to keep trying to gain muscle. I focused on my protein intake and did all the research I could on PCOS and nutrition. I had been a personal trainer since 2019 but decided to pursue becoming a Certified Nutrition Coach through NASM in 2021 to find more answers. And slowly but surely, things started to fall into place.
I learned about Micronutrition, Macronutrients, Metabolism, Digestion, and so much more! Once I started applying what I had learned, I started to feel better, and then I started to look better, and then, I felt confident to compete in my first bodybuilding competition in 2023. I didn't win, and I still had a lot of work to do on my digestion, but I learned so much about my body on the way and continued to improve myself post show to become the healthiest I have ever been.

Fast forward to now, I am at my most fit, my most lean, and my healthiest. I had a follow up appointment with my doctor this year, 2025, and she said that I was PCOS free. No more cysts, regular blood sugar, regular hormones, everything had reversed itself. I couldn't believe it. She said that through my lifestyle changes, micronutrition supplementation protocol, and workout changes, I had reversed my symptoms and that I didn't need to see her anymore unless things started to come back. I couldn't believe my ears. I didn't even know this was possible. And she explained how lifestyle intervention is the #1 way to beat PCOS.

This inspired me to share my story and to put what I had learned to good use. I want to help share this empowering feeling with as many of you as possible. I had felt hopeless, like there was something wrong with me, like I could never get the body I want. And I am here to say, I made it.
